Our Staff
CHRIS Kids has 150 staff members dedicated to healing children,
strengthening families and building community. CHRIS Kids utilizes
more than 300 volunteers each year to serve the community.
Executive Leadership Team
Kathy Colbenson,
LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with
36 years experience and has been the Chief Executive Officer of
CHRIS Kids since 1987. Under her leadership, CHRIS Kids has grown
from four group homes to include eight group homes, independent
living programs and a comprehensive community program, all serving
more than 1,000 children and families each year.
Cindy Simpson,
M.A., Educational Psychology, Ed.S., School Psychology,
University of Georgia, is Director of Program Development &
Chief Operations Officer. She has 28 years experience and specializes
in creating effective residential programs for at risk youth and
developing intensive group processes for adolescents.
Don Bollmer, M.B.A from University of Alabama, is the Chief Financial Officer. Has 20 years of experience in healthcare and nonprofit businesses, including working for Ernst & Young’s Healthcare Southeast Healthcare Consulting Practice, publically traded companies, venture capital funded start-up companies and a professional membership association.
Beth
Keller, M.P.A from University of Utah, is the Director of Development. She is a member of the Atlanta Association
of Fundraising Professionals. She has extensive experience in grant-writing,
special events, corporate relations, partnerships, strategic planning
and major gifts.

Counsel, is a Partner at Kilpatrick Stockton LLP.

Clinical Leadership Team
Greg Sterchi, LPC, is the CHRIS Counseling Center Clinical Director
holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in
Child and Family Studies. For the past 20 years, Greg has worked
primarily with children, adolescents, and families in various capacities
and in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, residential
treatment centers, and in private practice. He has been licensed
in the state of Georgia as a Professional Counselor since 1995.
Greg works from a family-focused, strengths-based perspective and
uses solution-focused therapeutic techniques to complement his psychodynamic
theoretical framework. Greg joined CHRIS Kids, Inc. in February
of 2008, where he is developing programming for the agency's Graham
Circle project.
Ashley Tricquet,
LPC, CRC, MAC, is the Care Management Entity Director. As a Licensed Professional Counselor
and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Ashley most recently worked
with the DeKalb Community Service Board leading various DeKalb County
agencies in the planning and development of a proposed county-wide
assessment center for children and adolescents for DeKalb County.
She also served as the Director of the Community Service Board’s
Child and Adolescent Day Treatment program. She previously worked
for the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, for Bainbridge College
Mentoring Project, and as a Behavior Specialist at Charter Behavioral
Health Systems at Laurel Heights in Atlanta. Ashley attended Georgia
State University and the University of Georgia.

Administrative Leadership Team
Sarah Ziegler
is the Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) Director and has
over 10 years working in the Information Systems industry, with
experience in both ISO 9000 and CQI methodology. In the private
sector, Sarah worked for one of the industry’s leading providers
of on-line psychological and skills assessments. She is a member
of the Quality Leaders Network – a national organization of
Quality Improvement professionals in the social services.
