Substance Abuse Counseling
Whether alcoholism or illegal drug abuse, addiction is a chronic, progressive disease that threatens individuals and their families. Addiction affects the entire family. This counseling involves the family members in the individual’s road to recovery because everyone needs healing. The psychological aspect of the rehabilitation requires the full openness and cooperation of the individual. This counseling and therapy considers other factors bigger than the addiction, and which may serve as triggers for the addiction. The goal of all rehabilitation is to prepare the individual so they do not have to resort to substance abuse to escape real life pressures.
