Unlocking The Potential Of Every Child
Since 1981, CHRIS Kids has transformed more than 15,000 lives. We believe that potential is a right, not a privilege. We offer an array of individualized programs through our Family of Services which includes: Behavioral Health, Safe Homes & Environments, Strong Communities and Education & Training. This holistic approach enables children, youth and families to unlock their potential for happiness, health and success despite challenging circumstances, often beyond their control. Our name, CHRIS Kids, represents core values: Creativity, Honor, Respect, Integrity and Safety. Our ambition is to be Georgia's go-to place where every vulnerable child or traumatized youth discovers how to unlock their potential.
We know that good behavioral health, education, social responsibility, employment and citizenship are inter-related and interdependent. When there are problems between the mind, body and spirit, when we suffer trauma or when we experience instability, we may develop conditions that affect how we think and behave. Good behavioral health helps a person unlock their full potential and become a contributing member of the community.
Safety is one of our core values. Our goal is to build a strong community by guaranteeing our children, youth and families live in safe and healthy environments. We create safe homes and healthy environments where individuals and families can reach their full potential. We accomplish this through our residential programs, permanent supportive housing programs, adoptive homes and in-home community programs.
Our goal is to build a strong community through partnerships and programming that ensures children, youth and families are self-sufficient contributing members of our community. We hold individuals accountable and help them become great citizens. We offer several community programs focused on prevention services and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
The CHRIS Training Institute has an inventory of training programs designed to meet individual and organizational needs. Each program is supported by an extensive infrastructure of staff and talented professionals. This team is adept at responding to specific issues within best practice standards in the community and works to ensure that you walk away with a thorough understanding of the topic and an action plan for success.
